Job Title:Machine Shop Production Planner

Location:Quakertown, Pa

Located in the greater Quakertown, PA area, Millennium is owned by the Bracalente Manufacturing Group (BMG), which was founded in 1950. Position Summary:The Machine Shop Production Planner plays a critical role in coordinating the day-to-day and long-term scheduling of jobs across our CNC machining operations. This position ensures that materials, processes, and labor are aligned to meet production targets, customer requirements, and delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of shop-floor dynamics and manufacturing workflows, with a proven ability to plan and adjust in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Capacity Planning

·Analyze production capacity against order demand, identifying bottlenecks and coordinating with leadership team to allocate labor and machine resources effectively.

Machine Shop Scheduling

·Develop and maintain daily and weekly machine schedules to ensure optimal workflow and meet customer delivery timelines.

• Production Routing

·Create and update routing information for parts through the shop floor, ensuring accuracy in process steps, work centers, and setup/run times

• Material Procurement

·Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders for raw materials, tooling, and consumables as needed to support production schedules. Ensure timely delivery of materials to prevent delays and maintain production flow

• Outside Process Orders

·Support the coordination of outside processing operations (e.g., heat treating, plating) by preparing documentation and tracking lead times to ensure a timely turnaround

• ERP Data Collection and Variance Analysis

·Maintain accurate data in the ERP system for job costing, labor reporting, and materials usage. Analyze variances between planned and actual performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

·Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination role, preferably within a CNC Machine Shop environment

·Solid understanding of machining operations, manufacturing workflows, and capacity constraints

·Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management

·Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities

·Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments

·Must be a US citizen for ITAR purposes

Preferred Qualifications:

·Experience with Epicor and JobBOSS ERP software and integration

·Technical training or degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field

·Familiarity with basic blueprint reading and ISO quality management systems

·Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement
