Job summary

Miller Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate workflow across departments and suppliers to meet schedules. The role involves updating production orders, maintaining records, and generating delivery reports to ensure manufacturing efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, proficiency with Excel/Word, and familiarity with LN ERP. This on-site position offers growth in a leading towing and recovery equipment manufacturer.

Qualifications

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience using LN ERP system.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Update movements on the Schedule of closed units and production orders daily and other Excel spreadsheets.
  • Maintain system records, work orders and purchase orders to ensure data integrity.
  • Generate reports on on-time delivery and other required metrics.
  • Manage Month End Inventory Yard Count.
  • Verify and manage SBU unit counts and related month-end reports.
  • Close production orders with completed units and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Set up Planner Codes for new items in the LN system.
  • Analyze reports and investigate shortages, BOM, and inventory issues.
  • Assist in resolving MRP and planning discrepancies.
  • Communicate progress and changes from engineering/methods to production.

Summary

The Production Planner will coordinate flow of work within or between departments and suppliers of the manufacturingfacility to meet customer schedules and internal goals by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Updating movements on the Schedule of closed units and production orders daily and other Excel Spreadsheets
  • Ensures system integrity through maintenance of system records, work orders and purchase orders.
  • Reports on time delivery information and other reports as required.
  • Responsible for Month End Inventory Yard Count
  • Verifies and manages SBU unit count/S1 Report/Completed not Closed/Zero Report for Month End Accounting Reports
  • Responsible for Closing Production Orders with completed units and making the necessary adjustments to the schedule.
  • Setting up Planer Codes for New Items within LN system.
  • Analyze reports and investigate system shortages/BOM/inventory issues.
  • Assist in the resolution of MRP and Planning discrepancies.
  • Determines progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
  • Improve production through application of innovative ideas and projects.
  • Other duties as needed.

  • Computer (Excel and Word) Skills

Education and Experience:

One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Intermediate level experience with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
