Job summary

Miller Industries, Inc. in Chattanooga area is offering a paid internship to support the engineering team. You will observe production lines, conduct time studies, and analyze data using MS Excel tools to document production processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and support manufacturing floor activities to gain practical experience.
  • Assist with evaluating existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting related to process performance (scrap, cycle time, throughput, downtime, etc.).
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Perform other related tasks and projects as assigned by Engineering Manager.

This paid internship offers experience in our Chattanooga area locations, supporting the engineering team in analyzing and documenting production processes. In this role, you will work directly with production personnel and engineers to observe production lines, conduct time studies, and process data using advanced MS Excel tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe and support manufacturing floor activities to gain practical experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and observe operations on the manufacturing floor. Ability to lift up to [30] pounds as required. Use of standard office and manufacturing equipment.
