Job summary

Indmar Marine Engines in Millington, TN is seeking a Paintline Operator to prepare, prime and apply paint to engines and parts using spray equipment. The role requires safe operation of ventilation and paint systems, daily cleaning of lines, and strict PPE usage.

Candidates should have at least two years of painting experience in manufacturing, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds while working in a noisy paint booth environment. Relocation to the Greater Memphis area may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years experience painting components in a production environment.
• Must be able to operate ventilation equipment and painting equipment.
• Must be familiar with MSDS and NIOSH regulations.
• Must wear PPE including half-face respirator and be clean shaven for proper seal.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Mask components for painting.
• Prime and paint engines and parts with a spray gun.
• Start up/shut down ventilation and painting equipment.
• Flush paint lines and dispose of filters daily.
• Follow PPE protocols and maintain PPE provided by the company.

Requirements

1. Masks proper components for painting.
2. Primes and paints engines and parts thoroughly using a spray gun.
3. Responsible for the startup/shut down of the ventilation and painting equipment.
4. Properly flushes out paint lines when needed.Disposes of all filters on a daily basis. Filters are not to be left in the building.
5. Must properly wear and maintain PPE provided by the company which includes a half pace piece respirator.
6. Other duties as assigned.

5. Constant noise from machinery and tools; standing consistently in the paint booth.
6. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
7. Must be able to wear a half piece respirator and be clean shaven to assure of proper seal on respirator. Other PPE required is a Tyvek suit, head sock, gloves and safety glasses.

Starting rate of pay is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. All hourly employees are eligible for a $40 weekly attendance bonus for meeting the work schedule. Regular shift is Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm with overtime worked on Friday as needed. All employees must pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.
