Job summary

Correct Craft is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the integration and marinization of Indmar products at the OE customer level. The role combines electrical and mechanical know-how to drive product development and continuous improvement, with a team-focused, safety-conscious environment.

You will coordinate design, testing, and transfer to production, generate electrical documentation, and support service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience; Electrical engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct engine experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
• C++ programming experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project requirements of product marinization and integration.
• Coordinate the design, testing, and transfer to production of new product following Indmar ISO Gate Process.
• Assist Quality and/or Customer Service Group with service warranty problems.
• Maintain project timelines and boat builder target dates.
• Engine testing and reporting; knowledge of CFR 1045 & 1065.
• Travel required 10-20% of time.
• Create electronic service/installation documentation of electrical system.
• Evaluate legacy systems for improvements.
• Provide support to service technicians as needed.

Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for the implementation and integration of Indmar products at the OE customer level. With a strong foundation in electrical engineering, this role serves as a technical resource across multiple engineering disciplines — including mechanical and electrical systems — to drive innovation and continuous improvement throughout the product development lifecycle. Must have positive/friendly attitude and ability to work with and support the team.

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage day-to-day project requirements of product marinization and integration.
2. Responsible for reporting form, fit, and function of parts to design engineering team.
3. Coordinate the design, testing, and transfer to production of new product following Indmar ISO Gate Process
4. Assist Quality and or Customer Service Group with service warranty problems.
5. Maintain project timelines and boat builder target dates. Including but not limited to: Manage projects as assigned. Develop timing chart. Report progress on weekly basis in report and or project status meetings.
6. Engine testing and reporting – Knowledge of CFR 1045 & 1065
7. Travel required 10-20% of time
8. Continue support of in-progress projects through start of production
9. Create electronic service/installation documentation of electrical system
10. Evaluate legacy systems for improvements
11. Provide support and assistance to service technicians as needed
12. Research and develop new systems and components as needed
13. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

1. Must be computer literate with working knowledge of all main line software, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or equivalent and SolidWorks.
2. Knowledge of the following regulations: USCG, EPA, CARB CE Foreign Regulations,
3. Knowledge of the following standards: ABYC, ISO, ANSI/NIT Engineering Standards.
4. Understanding of SAE 1939 and NMEA 2000 protocol.
5. Proficiency in reading and developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit designs
6. Must be mechanically inclined and have a working knowledge of mechanics tools.
7. Ability to analyze and interpret data and convey technical information
8. Troubleshooting and repair of basic DC electrical automotive systems
9. Good communication skills both verbal and written.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience; Electrical engineering degree preferred.
2. Minimum (5) years of direct engine experience in a manufacturing or a related environment.
3. C++ programming experience a plus

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Very hands on. Noise from engines. Office and shop environment.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Safety glasses; hearing protection.
