JOB TITLE: Production Tech / Operator

WORK LOCATION: Montgomery, Illinois

SHIFTS: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Purpose of Role: The Production Operator is responsible for maintaining and meeting all production goals and productivity targets to ensure complete customer satisfaction through production value and employee effectiveness.

Essential Functions:

• Follow packaging instructions to properly complete a pack out.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and department sanitation procedures.
• Review and complete assigned work orders.
• Assemble boxes and other packaging materials.
• Assist with warehouse, production, and rail yard sanitation.
• Inspect products to identify and remove contaminations.
• Assist with floor loads and restacking projects.
• Handle work orders for repacks, such as box to bag, box to box, super sack to box, etc.
• Assist with railcar/container hook-ups.
• Repack boxes or super sacks to bulk trucks.
• Participate in the recycling program, including gathering and bailing materials.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs repeatedly.
• Operate a sit-down forklift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 55 lbs.
• Use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Stand for 8+ hours per day.
• Move up and down stairs periodically.

Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
