Description

Job Title: 1st Shift CBC Machine Operator - Hiring Immediately!

Location: Montgomery, IL

Pay Rate: Start at $20.50/hour; after 90 days, $21.00/hour

Position Summary

As a CBC Machine Operator at Carl Buddig & Company, you will be responsible for producing and packaging cooked products for shipment, maintaining a safety-minded attitude to promote a safety culture.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate production operations of a line consisting of 4-10 people.
  2. Ensure product quality, workmanship, and efficient manufacturing costs.
  3. Train line personnel to maintain high skill levels, output, and adherence to schedules.
  4. Review daily production against standards and implement continuous improvement procedures.
  5. Maintain product quality through recordkeeping such as oxygen testing, seal testing, label compliance, and code dating.
  6. Perform adjustments, maintenance, and calibration of machines during setup and operation.
  7. Perform general light maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  8. Report food safety issues to management and QA.
  9. Understand GMPs, HACCP, and SQF guidelines.
  10. Apply basic mathematical skills.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work in temperatures of 40°F or less and lift up to 35 pounds for 30 minutes.
  • Flexibility to work as needed, including weekends and overtime.
  • Ability to work in high-speed packaging environments, standing for 8-10 hours.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and ability to bend, stoop, and squat.
  • Adherence to GMPs.
