Job Description Summary:
This team member is responsible for safely unloading, transporting, and storing production material while completing associated transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential functions:
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Safely and accurately perform all material receiving activities, including unloading trucks, inspecting, sorting, and storing shipments in appropriate locations, and verifying packing list information against purchase orders using the MRP system.
- Read schedules to stage materials efficiently and accurately to support operations.
- Read Bills of Materials to gather multiple components and pack them into a single kit as required.
- Support cycle counting activities.
- Complete forklift training successfully.
- Operate overhead cranes, lifting devices, and material handling equipment safely.
- Complete all required production documentation and system transactions accurately and neatly.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, observe safety habits, and report equipment or processing malfunctions.
- Perform other job-related duties safely as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree or Industrial Certification; 1-3 years of experience in material handling.
Skills and Abilities:
- Mobility to get on and off a forklift multiple times per day and manually arrange and pick material on and off pallets.
- Ability to successfully complete forklift certification.
- Ability to read basic manufacturing technical drawings and engineering notifications.
- Ability to read and follow safety instructions, procedures, and policies.
- Capability to perform mechanical work in less-than-ideal conditions.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of math and measuring functions.
- Ability to self-prioritize workload and organize tasks for timely completion.
- Effective teamwork skills.
- Ability to accurately and neatly complete production documentation.
- Willingness to work a regular schedule and overtime as required.
- Basic knowledge of MRP systems (preferred).
- Ability to acquire a CDL (preferred).
