Description

WSI is currently seeking Weekend Shift Material Handlers/Forklift Operators for its distribution center. These positions offer a $1,500.00 sign-on bonus!

Under general supervision, the Material Handler/Forklift Operator performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, to receive, inspect, store, and ship material, including receipt, control, preparation, material distribution, records, and reports. Receives general direction on new assignment aspects and instructions on how to perform required tasks and expected results.

Essential Functions

• Operates material handling equipment to receive, store, and ship material.
• Performs receiving and shipping inspections, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate, undamaged, and documented as required.
• Conducts physical inventories to establish, maintain, and document receipt, shipment, and control.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. regularly.
• Willingness to work overtime and on scheduled days off with little or no notice.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Basic reading, writing, and understanding of English.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations: addition, subtraction, multiplication.
• Ability to read and understand the English alphabet.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and independently.
• Observant, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to lift at least 55 lbs. throughout the day.
• Understanding and adherence to safety requirements.
