Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Material Handler to join its organization.

Responsibilities

• Handle receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory levels of materials within the warehouse.
• Load, unload, and convey materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
• Perform a combination of tasks under specific direction, which may include shipping and/or receiving.
• Open containers using hand tools, count, weigh, and sample materials, and use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and recording information.
• Operate a forklift.
• Follow department’s material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verify quantity and conformance of materials to stated identifications and documentation.
• Work with Oracle and other computer systems, including both in-house programs and customer portals.
• Collaborate with a team and other departments to meet production needs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• High School Diploma with 1+ years of experience.
• Proficient forklift operator.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Availability to work overtime.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to physically lift objects up to 35 pounds.
• Strong work ethic.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Oracle or SAP experience.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience.
• Cycle count and inventory investigation experience.
• Inventory control experience.
• Shipping and receiving material handler experience.

• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $37,295 - $59,672

Please note: This range is based on market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including skills, education, experience, and market conditions.
