Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Production Operator I to join our industry leading team. This role offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth in a company with 125 years of manufacturing excellence.

You will hand assemble slide systems and parts, load and unload materials, conduct changeovers and setups, perform quality checks, follow safety procedures, complete packing and labeling as required, and inspect parts and machinery for errors.

Qualifications

• No previous manufacturing experience required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Ability to efficiently work in a high fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble slide systems and parts.
• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.

• 1st Shift: (7:00am-3:00pm) $19.00/hr
• 3rd Shift: (11:15pm-7:15am) $19.00/hr +$2.00 shift premium
