Job summary

Knape and Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Production Operator I to join our high-volume slides team. This entry-level position offers a clean manufacturing environment, competitive pay, and opportunities to learn on modern equipment.

You will load and unload parts, troubleshoot from blueprints, perform changeovers and setups, and ensure quality and safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• No previous manufacturing experience is required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer and math skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Ability to efficiently work in a high fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. while standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Troubleshooting by reading blueprints on a computer monitor.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
