Job summary

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company in Grand Rapids seeks a Production Operator I to join our manufacturing team. You will load and unload parts, monitor machines, read blueprints on a computer monitor, and perform changeovers with a focus on quality and safety.

No prior manufacturing experience is required. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and capable of lifting up to 35 lbs during shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English.
• Ability to work in a high fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Troubleshooting by reading blueprints on a computer monitor.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
