Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Production Operator I for low volume slides. This entry-level position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with excellent pay starting at $19.00/hr and numerous benefits including medical, paid time off, and retirement plans. Candidates are not required to have previous manufacturing experience, but should possess basic reading, writing, computer and math skills. Opportunities for overtime are also available.

• Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic English.
• Ability to efficiently work in a high fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble slide systems and parts.
• Load, unload and hand parts into the machine.
• Conduct changeovers and setups.
• Perform all quality functions and checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality functions.
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
