Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. in Cambridge, OH is hiring a Production Operator to run lines, set up equipment, and minimize scrap. The role offers on-the-job training, a part-time schedule, and opportunities for overtime.

Hourly rate starts at $18 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shifts. Shifts are 1st: Mon–Fri 6:00 am–10:00 am and 2nd: 2:00 pm–6:00 pm. Benefits include bonus potential, paid time off and holidays, and wellness initiatives such as an onsite gym and

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely.
• Produce and use Material Identification labels.
• Identify quality material prior to packaging.
• Follow all safety procedures; notify supervisor of safety issues.
• Attend work on time and for scheduled hours.
• Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition per 5S standards.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating with co-workers.
