Job summary

Quanex in Cambridge, OH is seeking a Production Operator to produce quality products with minimal scrap on the production lines. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety and teamwork on a fast-paced line.

This part-time position includes on-the-job training, PTO, holidays, wellness perks and an onsite gym. Shift options are 1st and 2nd, with a $1/hour differential for 2nd/3rd; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely.
• Produce and use Material Identification labels.
• Identify quality material prior to packaging.
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; notify supervisor of safety issues.
• Attend work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
• Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with 5S standards.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
