Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Production Operator for the Cambridge, OH plant on the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm, Mon–Fri). The role focuses on setting up equipment, running processes with materials labeling, and ensuring quality before packaging.

You’ll follow safety rules, arrive on time, and support a clean, 5S-driven work area with strong teamwork. Qualifications include 1+ year in manufacturing, HS diploma or GED, willingness to work overtime, and ability to lift up to 55 lb occasionally.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely.
• Produce and use Material Identification labels.
• Identify quality material prior to packaging.
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; notify supervisor of safety issues.
• Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with 5S standards.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.

Hourly Rate: $18/hr. + $1/hr. shift differential

2nd Shift M-F - 2pm to 10pm (overtime potential)

What Success Looks Like

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely
