Job summary

Quanex is recruiting for Production Operator positions in Cambridge, OH. We are hosting Open Interviews on Tuesdays 1pm-3pm and Thursdays 10am-12pm from Sept 22 to Nov 19 at 800 Cochran Avenue, Cambridge, OH 43725.

Starting pay is $18/hour, plus $1/hour shift differential, with 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (Sun-Thu 10pm-6am). The role emphasizes producing quality products with low scrap, proper changeovers, labeling, and strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality products with minimum scrap on the production lines.
• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely.
• Produce and use Material Identification labels.
• Identify quality material prior to packaging.
• Follow all safety procedures and notify supervisor of safety issues.
• Attend work on time for scheduled hours.
• Maintain a neat, orderly work area in 5S standards.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating with co-workers.

What Success Looks Like:
