Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a production operator to support the concrete products manufacturing process. This non-exempt role involves reading specifications, adjusting machines, and ensuring product quality by monitoring for defects and maintaining equipment.

You will perform routine machine adjustments, assist other operators, and keep the work area clean and organized. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with basic math, computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 40

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or at least 1 month of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure notes.
• Ability to perform arithmetic in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must have computer skills and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators with machine setup and any other tasks to meet deadlines and complete production.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area and adhere to safety standards.
• Other duties as needed.
