Job Description Summary

The Production Operator operates all the filling machines as well as auxiliary equipment to produce Bactec products. Participates in evaluation and troubleshooting of the equipment as required. Follows QSR, ISO, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Start-up the equipment following approved procedures. Monitor quality of products.
2. Perform set-up and cleaning of equipment.
3. Operate filling manufacturing equipment as required, following approved procedures and regulations. Record required information neatly and accurately.
4. Maintain equipment in good condition and notify supervisors of deviations or malfunctions. Assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
5. Keep the production area clean and organized.
6. Inspect own work, record information properly, and handle routine situations with some interpretation.
7. Participate actively in Lean activities.
8. Support other production lines as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to understand written English and Spanish.
• Physical ability to move, lift objects, stand, and walk constantly.
• Exposure to noise, odors, and dust.
• Potential hazards include cuts and burns from equipment.

BD prioritizes on-site collaboration, requiring a minimum of 4 days in-office per week, with exceptions for remote or field roles. Employment may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination, with accommodations considered as per policy.
