Production Operator Assembly 2nd Shift

Reporting To

Production Supervisor

Responsibilities
  1. Assemble production, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to instructions.
  2. Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then build to those specifications.
  3. Operate various machines and hand tools to complete assigned tasks.
  4. Maintain logs, records, and reports related to production, machine maintenance, and product quality.
  5. Perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment and conveyors.
  6. Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate with materials handlers for replenishments.
  7. Conduct periodic quality checks on products, resolve issues, and report to supervisors.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with tools such as tape measures, screwdrivers, and battery-operated tools.
  • Knowledge of hardware components like nuts, bolts, and screws.
  • Understanding of 5S principles: sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain.
  • Use of necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, connection diagrams, bills of materials, and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to operate cranes or other lifting devices as needed.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and safe ladder use.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions.
  • Must have valid work authorization to work in the US with ABB.
