Job description

The Production Operator role is responsible for operating numerical control machines that have been previously set up to automatically perform manufacturing processes. The role also involves examining products for defects and completeness using microscopes and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Read blueprints, work instructions, and drawings to determine inspection criteria, measurements, and material requirements.
2. Verify documents and enter information to track progress.
3. Set up microscopes and other measuring instruments, including minor setup adjustments.
4. Position, adjust, and secure workpieces in fixtures or automatic feeding mechanisms.
5. Activate machines to perform manufacturing processes.
6. Monitor machine operation and control panel displays for defects or malfunctions.
7. Randomly select parts according to control charts for inspection.
8. Visually examine products for defects and completeness.
9. Measure workpieces to ensure accuracy of machine operation.
10. Sort or rework parts as needed.
11. Replace and adjust cutting tools and spools.
12. Prepare, label, and transport packages per instructions.
13. Handle finished products and materials carefully to prevent damage.
14. Obtain and manage materials, trays, and carriers.
15. Return excess materials to inventory.
16. Perform additional related duties as required.

Position Requirements:
