Job Title: Production Worker Job Description

This is a 90-day temp-to-hire Production Worker role in a pre-printing facility, focused on supporting high-volume printing operations. The position primarily works swing shift, with the possibility of rotating to other shifts during training and with advance notice. You will handle general labor tasks, assist in ink preparation and machine operation, and ensure print quality through careful inspection and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work in a pre-printing facility performing general labor tasks to support production operations.

• Mix and pour inks according to established formulas and safety guidelines.

• Perform assigned Passover duties as directed by supervisors and trainers.

• Load materials into large printing machines and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Conduct quality checks on printed materials and ink colors to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• Perform routine quality inspection of products and processes, identifying and reporting any defects.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through general shop housekeeping.

• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

• Use basic computer systems to perform data entry and record production-related information.

• Follow all safety procedures, including when working at heights and around large industrial equipment.

• Adapt to rotating shifts as needed for training and production coverage, with openness to schedule changes.

• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality throughout the 90-day temp period.

Essential Skills

• Previous production experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.

• Strong attention to detail when mixing inks, operating machines, and inspecting finished prints.

• Ability and willingness to work swing shift and rotate to different shifts as required for training.

• Capability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working on your feet for extended periods.

• Ability to perform basic data entry using a computer.

• Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and documentation.

• Comfort working at heights around large printing presses.

• Willingness to work in warm conditions and in an environment where ink and materials may cause you to get dirty.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Backgrounds in production, warehousing, general labor, auto mechanics, or other industrial experience have proven successful in this role.

• Experience with quality inspection processes and tools.

• General computer skills beyond basic data entry.

• Consistent and reliable attendance over the 90-day temp period.

• Ability to use a computer as needed for production tracking and documentation.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a very clean and organized pre-printing facility equipped with large industrial printing presses that can reach 30–40 feet in height. You may work at elevated positions, so you should be comfortable with heights. The environment can be very warm during the summer months, and the nature of the work means you should be willing to get dirty, including occasional ink spills on clothing or skin. You will work primarily on swing shift, with training and shift changes coordinated in advance, and you will use industrial equipment and computer systems as part of your daily tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
