AM General is hiring Production Employees to support our JLTV A2 Launch

AM General Hourly employees are represented by the UAW, and the company and union work together to create a supportive and developmental work environment.

Location: Bristol, IN - Logistics Operations Center, 203 StoneMont Dr. Future opportunities may be available in South Bend or Mishawaka.

Requirements & Skills:

• Work on a contract basis for the first 30 days, with this time credited toward benefits.
• Ability to read and follow standardized work and instructions.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Effective communication skills and participation in zone meetings, problem-solving, and training.
• Willingness to learn multiple jobs.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.
• Shift start times are 5:00 am or 10:00 am, subject to change.

Primary Duties:

• Assemble and drill parts according to standardized work instructions.
• Verify quality of work performed.
• Operate equipment within the facility.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
• Perform duties safely and in compliance with safety rules.
• Maintain a clean working environment.

Wages:

The wages reflect the JLTV startup wages, with annual increases and opportunities for advancement:

• Production Operator: $18.20/hour
• Materials Operator: $17.00/hour
• Quality Operator: $17.00/hour
