Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a Production Department Supervisor to oversee the overall operation of the department, drive cost and production goals, and train staff.

You will manage multiple departments and shifts, coach employees, and ensure safety compliance while continually improving processes. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and experience with CI concepts and company systems, including Citrix and JDA/JSA safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Post high school education required.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing; 1–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong communication skills; ability to lead and coach teams.
• Proficiency with company systems such as Inside UFPI; use of Citrix.
• Experience with CI concepts (5S, TPM) and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production operations across multiple departments and shifts.
• Lead and motivate a group of employees for maximum productivity.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve problems and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate performance and provide coaching and feedback to staff.
• Ensure compliance with Safety standards and company policies; participate in Safety Committee.
