Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manages the production operation of multiple departments across multiple shifts.
• Leads a group of employees, motivating for maximum productivity.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves problems and opportunities.
• Evaluates performance and provides coaching and counselling.
• Ensures compliance with UFP policies, procedures and applicable law.
• Communicates with employees and management as required.
• Manages department cost and profitability and inventory.
• Drives continuous improvement and safety initiatives in the department.
• Prepares reports and maintains records as required.
• Participates in Safety Committee activities and adheres to safety standards.
• Perform other duties as required.
• If in Treating Department, handles hazardous material procedures.
