Job summary

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a production leader to manage production departments and staff within the distribution center, focusing on scheduling, workflow, and KPI monitoring.

You will develop training programs, supervise safety practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time product flow, continuous improvement, and adherence to company policies. The role requires strong leadership and the ability to work under pressure during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 2–4 years' experience in materials management and distribution; 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management systems, Labor Management systems, sortation systems and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the assignment of production department staff and scheduling.
• Develop training and monitor performance and efficiency.
• Ensure safety and participate in Safety program and committee.
• Oversee cross-training and bench strength for coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth information flow and processes.
• Set and meet production goals across seasons.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support LEAN/5-S projects.
• Ensure staff understand all policies and procedures.
