Job summary

Samtec in Scottsburg, IN is seeking a Production Manager to lead multiple work centers and drive efficiency across shifts. You will ensure output meets demand, manage schedules and KPIs, and partner with Quality and Operations to reduce defects and waste.

Qualifications

5 Years of Management Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Proven problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
Must be able to lift 20 lbs. from floor to waist routinely.
Must be able to stand for 90 minutes at a time consistently.
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can shift very quickly.
Proven leadership and management abilities to grow and develop associates.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise Production Supervisors, machine operators, and support staff across shifts and locations.
Communicate with Supervisors to ensure Samtec policies and standards are followed.
Manage transfer of products between plants as needed.
Establish training and cross-training plans for consistent processes and flexible labor.
Define the Vision, Mission, and Objectives for the Production Department annually.
Monitor KPIs and targets to evaluate performance and set realistic goals.
