Job summary

Jabil in New York is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production processes and help set priorities in line with cost and efficiency goals.

You will collaborate with management to define standards, coordinate with procurement, maintenance and quality, monitor metrics, reduce scrap, and ensure safe, clean workstations. Strong knowledge of logistics, data analysis and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years experience.
• Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of logistics operations and cost reduction programs.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Confers with management to establish production and quality standards.
• Assists in coordinating production activities with procurement, maintenance and quality control.
• Reviews and discusses reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications.
• Assists in the minimization of scrap and MRO usage; ensure workstation cleanliness.
• Monitors production metrics and monthly report card; pursue defect reduction.
• Ensures line employees understand and follow policies; stocks and supplies available.
• Assists in monitoring SPC system to identify problems; collects data.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
