Job summary

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down equipment and make adjustments to running conditions.
• Inspect the material and maintain general housekeeping of the work area.
• Compound or process ingredients according to formulas as directed.
• Read work orders to determine production specifications or information.
• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
• Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
• Troubleshoot machinery issues while the machine is running and adjust run conditions as needed.
• Communicate with team members and management; apply problem solving and reading measuring equipment.
