Job summary

Twist Bioscience Corporation seeks a Production Planner to develop daily schedules and plans for production, ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently. You will monitor CTB assessments, manage inventory discrepancies, and coordinate with lab, production, and shipping teams in a 100% onsite facility in Wilsonville, OR.

Applicants should have 2+ years in material planning or inventory control, experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), and strong Excel/Sheets skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in material planning, manufacturing, or inventory control.
• Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
• Biotech or pharma industry experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing capacity planning.
• Experience conducting CTB assessments or resolving inventory discrepancies is a plus.
• ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree or 4 year work experience equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Generate manufacturing build plans for critical stock to maintain lab supply.
• Reviewing daily production schedules for manufacturing to execute
• Review lab stock and conduct CTB assessments to confirm material availability meets production’s planned schedule.
• Own inventory discrepancy resolution across production labs and the shipping area.
• Establishing and reviewing Kanban levels for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Serve as point of contact for the production team’s inventory requirements and expedite special orders.
• Develop and maintain systematic reports to monitor production order output.
• Follow regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements.
• Assist in lab cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Analyze material usage and troubleshoot inventory issues such as shortages or expired stock.
• Reserve materials in the system and close work and production orders promptly.
