Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions LLC Career Center is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate raw materials, purchasing, production scheduling, and shipping, ensuring alignment with customer needs. Local candidates only and on-site work are emphasized.

You will manage orders, plan production, optimize logistics, control inventory, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with sales and plant teams to meet timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with inventory control, loading, and shipping procedures.
• Ability to read shop drawings.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Team player in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Order Management: receive orders from sales offices and customers, set delivery dates based on material availability, customer requirements, and production schedules.
• Production Planning: establish production plans and priorities; create daily work schedules for hourly staff to optimize efficiency.
• Shipping and Logistics: identify carriers, coordinate shipments, plan routes, and expedite deliveries to meet customer requirements; plan loading schedules.
• Inventory Management: place orders for raw materials, manage BOMs, maintain inventory levels, and keep records updated.
• Communication and Coordination: coordinate interplant transfers and inform teams about material availability, production and shipping schedules.
• Documentation and Compliance: prepare material/product certificates and coordinate inspections.
