Job summary

Divergent in Torrance, CA is seeking a Material Planner to ensure production readiness by planning material requirements, releasing from blanket orders, and coordinating with vendors to stabilize the supply chain.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Procurement to keep materials available, resolve shortages, and support on-time delivery while contributing to cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in ITAR/DFAR environment is required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to plan and forecast.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team and manage ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material plans that support production schedules.
• Release materials from blanket purchase orders based on demand signals.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage flow of sub-components to meet production schedule.
• Identify shortages and coordinate ECO implementations with Engineering.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering to optimize materials flow.
