Delta Electronics Americas is seeking a Material Planner to ensure material availability for production schedules and customer requirements. You will work with Purchasing, Production, and Supply Chain to manage inventory, forecast needs, and communicate risks across departments.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and proactive, with experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments and strong communication skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor in related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of material planning, production planning, inventory control, purchasing, or manufacturing operations experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate material requirements based on production schedules, forecasts, and demand.
• Review MRP recommendations and generate material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production schedules.
• Identify shortages or constraints and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Work with Purchasing and suppliers to monitor availability and delivery schedules.
• Expedite materials when necessary to prevent production disruptions.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data and assist with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
• Prepare reports on shortages, inventory levels, and supplier performance.

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring materials, components, and supplies are available to support production schedules and customer requirements. This position works closely with Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, and other cross-functional teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels, identify potential shortages, and ensure materials are available when needed.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and proactive, with strong communication skills and experience working in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate material requirements based on production schedules, forecasts, inventory levels, and customer demand.
• Review MRP (Material Requirements Planning) recommendations and generate or communicate material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate materials are available to meet production schedules.
• Identify potential material shortages, delays, or supply constraints and communicate risks to appropriate stakeholders.
• Work closely with Purchasing and suppliers to monitor material availability and delivery schedules.
• Expedite materials when necessary to prevent production disruptions.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
• Monitor open purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
• Analyze demand, inventory, lead times, and usage trends to improve material planning.
• Maintain accurate material planning information within the ERP/MRP system.
• Assist with managing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
• Support inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation activities as needed.
• Communicate changes in production schedules or material requirements to appropriate departments.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory, material flow, and supply chain processes.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to shortages, inventory levels, material availability, and supplier performance.
• Escalate critical material shortages or supply issues that may impact production or customer commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, inventory control, purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of inventory management, production planning, purchasing, and supply chain principles.
• Ability to analyze data and identify potential material shortages or inventory issues.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and manage changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of MRP, BOMs (Bills of Material), lead times, safety stock, and production schedules.
• APICS/ASCM certification or related supply chain training is a plus.
