Job summary

TransPak, a long-established packaging solutions provider founded in Silicon Valley, invites a Material Planner to join our Newark, CA operation. You’ll collaborate with customer service, sales, purchasing, production and inventory control to maintain an efficient flow of materials and maximize throughput.

You’ll plan and schedule material flow, monitor requirements, and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages and delays while supporting on-time delivery and compliance with material

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college.
• ERP experience, specifically Sage.
• Scheduling and planning certification.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive material flow to meet contracts and delivery dates.
• Use forecasts, lead times, and orders to optimize workflows and minimize overtime.
• Plan and schedule material flow for each operation with established sequences and lead times.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with inventory and procurement.
• Communicate with production daily to prioritize shipments and manage stock.
• Coordinate with purchasing and inbound receiving on shortages or delays.
• Prepare production reports and analyze capacity and processes.
