Job summary

Balchem Corporation Sleepy Eye Plant is seeking a Production Manager to lead all production activities, ensure adherence to the Production Schedule, SOPs, GMPs, and regulatory standards, and act as a coach and key decision maker.

The ideal candidate has experience in spray drying, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to plan staffing and optimize throughput; 5–10 years in plant operations with 3–5 years supervising is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 1+ year experience, or 5–10 years in plant operations and 3–5 years supervising.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to present information to individuals or groups.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safety policies; promote site safety culture.
• Ensure personnel and property safety; inspect equipment and address hazards.
• Monitor Safety, Quality, Cost, and Efficiency data; drive continuous improvement.
• Maximize Processing Equipment sales by following production schedule and supporting scale-up.
• Develop staffing plans and optimize production schedules for efficiency.
• Monitor operations; take corrective action for deviations; report issues; ensure SOP compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance and equipment upgrades; set goals with Operations Manager.
