Job summary

Balchem Corp. is seeking a Production Manager for the Sleepy Eye Plant to oversee all production activities and drive safety, quality and efficiency.

You will coach, guide, and back-up the Site Leader while ensuring adherence to the Production Schedule, SOPs, GMPs and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes strong communication, staff planning, continuous improvement, and the ability to manage weekends/holidays when needed; a Bachelor's degree or substantial plant-ops supervision experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5-10 years of plant operations experience with 3-5 years of supervision.
• Proficiency with computer systems and specifically Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to present information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production activities to meet the production schedule and SOPs.
• Enforce safety policies and promote site safety culture.
• Monitor safety, quality, cost and efficiency metrics and drive improvements.
• Coordinate maintenance and scale-up activities for new products.
• Develop staffing plans and optimize production throughput.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, regulatory laws and corporate specs.
• Provide coaching and act as back-up to Site Leader as needed.
• Handle weekend/holiday coverage when production is operational.
