Qualifications

  • Five+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.

  • Experience supporting production growth, increased capacity, workforce expansion, or new shifts.
  • Proven ability to coach supervisors, build teams, manage performance, and create accountability.
  • Experience with standard work, performance metrics, visual management, and structured problem-solving.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement certification preferred.

Allegheny Bradford Corporation is entering an exciting new chapter within our Allegheny Surface Technology division. AST provides specialized stainless-steel surface treatment and finishing services, including electropolishing, passivation, mechanical polishing, and field services. Growing demand for these services in the pharmaceutical and data industry markets has led us to expand our team, double our production capacity, and prepare for the next stage of our operation.

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager who is energized by growth and excited by the opportunity to help us build a culture of operational excellence through continuous improvement. What You’ll Do to
Production Leadership
  • Lead daily production activities across a growing, multi-shift manufacturing operation.
  • Ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and delivery expectations.
  • Establish clear daily priorities and maintain effective communication across all shifts.
  • Monitor staffing, workflow, equipment availability, material needs, and production performance.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and build positive working relationships with employees across shifts.
  • Address operational concerns promptly while helping teams find lasting solutions.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with critical departments including Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Human Resources, and Sales
Continuous Improvement and Operational Growth
  • Evaluate current processes and help develop scalable systems to support continued growth.
  • Introduce practical continuous-improvement methods, including standard work, visual management, daily accountability, root-cause analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Improve shift handoffs and communication to provide greater consistency across the 24/7 operation.
  • Work with employees and supervisors to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, workflow, throughput, and equipment utilization.
  • Lead improvement efforts that are practical, measurable, and sustainable.
  • Establish meaningful performance measures related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, downtime, and employee development.
  • Encourage employees at all levels to share ideas and participate in improving how work gets done.
  • Help ensure that our expanded capacity translates into reliable, sustainable production results.
Supervisor and Employee Development
  • Lead, coach, and support production supervisors as they continue to grow in their roles.
  • Establish clear responsibilities, decision-making authority, escalation expectations, and performance standards.
  • Help supervisors develop the confidence and skills needed to lead their teams independently.
  • Promote consistent leadership practices and employee expectations across all shifts.
  • Provide timely feedback, recognize strong performance, and address concerns constructively.
  • Support workforce planning, onboarding, training, cross-training, and skills development.
  • Foster a workplace where employees feel respected, understand what is expected, and recognize how their work contributes to the division’s success.
What You’ll Bring

  • Experience supporting production growth, increased capacity, workforce expansion, or the launch of additional shifts.
  • A proven ability to coach supervisors, build strong teams, manage performance, and create accountability.
  • Experience with standard work, performance metrics, visual management, and structured problem-solving.
  • A strong understanding of production planning, safety, quality, labor utilization, equipment constraints, and manufacturing workflow.
  • The ability to balance immediate production needs with longer-term operational improvement.
  • Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in operations, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or another continuous-improvement certification is preferred
