Job summary

Allegheny Bradford Corporation, within the Allegheny Surface Technology division, seeks a Production Manager focused on Operational Excellence to lead a growing, multi‑shift manufacturing operation and drive sustainable improvements.

The role emphasizes coaching supervisors, implementing standard work, and partnering withSafety, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, HR, and Sales to scale capacity and performance.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience developing and executing operational-excellence and continuous-improvement projects.
• Experience supporting production growth, increased capacity, workforce expansion, or new shifts.
• Proven ability to coach supervisors, build teams, manage performance, and create accountability.
• Experience with standard work, performance metrics, visual management, and structured problem-solving.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities across a growing, multi‑shift operation.
• Ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and per quality/delivery expectations.
• Establish clear daily priorities and communicate across shifts.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, equipment, material needs, and performance.
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and build strong relationships.
• Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, HR, and Sales.
• Evaluate processes and develop scalable systems to support growth.
• Lead improvements that are practical, measurable, and sustainable.
• Coach supervisors and develop teams to operate independently.
• Foster workforce planning, onboarding, training, and skills development.
