Job summary

Allegheny Bradford Corporation is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and manage production schedules, balancing customer demand with materials, labor, and capacity. You will collaborate with Operations, Production Control, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to keep production on track and continuously improve scheduling accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and planning/scheduling experience.
• Previous planner/scheduler experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of your work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules using our ERP/MRP system.
• Set production priorities based on customer demand, materials, labor, and capacity.
• Monitor schedules and proactively identify issues that could impact production or delivery.
• Adjust schedules based on real-time production needs and input from shop floor.
• Collaborate with Production Control, Operations, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to stay on track.
• Lead daily and weekly scheduling meetings to review priorities and progress.
• Maintain accurate planning information: lead times, calendars, lot sizes, policies.
• Analyze production data to improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs and help reduce past-due orders and disruptions.
• Support continuous improvement and strengthen planning processes.
• Maintain production planning data within ERP/MRP.

We are looking for a Production Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations running efficiently. This position is responsible for developing and managing production schedules, setting priorities, and making sure customer demand, materials, labor, and production capacity all come together.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and being at the center of manufacturing operations. You will work closely with Operations, Production Control, Purchasing, and other teams to identify potential issues, make adjustments, and continuously improve the way we plan and schedule production.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain production schedules using our ERP/MRP system.
• Set production priorities based on customer demand, materials, labor, and capacity.
• Monitor schedules and proactively identify issues that could impact production or customer delivery.
• Adjust schedules based on real-time production needs and feedback from the shop floor.
• Work closely with Production Control, Operations, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to keep production on track.
• Lead daily and weekly scheduling meetings to review priorities, progress, and potential challenges.
• Maintain accurate planning information, including lead times, production calendars, lot sizes, and production policies.
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Monitor key performance indicators and help reduce past-due orders and schedule disruptions.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and help strengthen our planning and scheduling processes.
• Maintain accurate production planning information within the ERP/MRP system.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing planning/scheduling experience.
• Previous experience in a planner/scheduler role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or another ERP/MRP system is a plus.
• A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work.
