Job summary

RS Utility Structures Inc is seeking a dynamic Production Manager to lead daily operations at our Humble, TX manufacturing facility. You will mentor supervisors, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and scale production capacity to meet demand.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong LEAN/Six Sigma background, and proven ability to optimize processes while building high-performing teams. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production management, with proven success leading teams through periods of growth, change, or scale-up.
Strong background in production planning, process optimization, and team leadership within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience implementing Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices; Black Belt certification is a strong asset.
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and a demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Track record of driving continuous improvement, improving throughput, and optimizing operations for efficiency and quality.
Experience building and developing teams, with strong communication, coaching, and people leadership skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, anticipate bottlenecks, and make informed decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP or production management systems; strong Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage daily plant operations and scale-up production capacity to meet rising demand.
Lead and mentor supervisors and production teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality operations.
Drive a proactive safety culture with compliance to health and safety regulations.
Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for growth.
Implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and reduce costs.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to uphold standards and ensure process stability.
Develop teams through coaching and clear expectations.
Monitor production metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvements.
Support cross-functional work with Supply Chain and R&D for new product introductions.
