Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Production Manager based in Athens, GA to lead all production areas, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in line with company standards. The role reports to the Plant Operations Manager and involves planning schedules, staffing and coordinating maintenance, quality and engineering services.

You will drive continuous improvement and KPI delivery across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or related field, strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools for process improvement.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing (preferred).
• Good written and verbal communication skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operations of all production areas to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Plan and establish work schedules, staffing requirements, and production activities.
• Coordinate maintenance, quality, and engineering services to meet objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and KPIs; report project status and results.
• Collaborate with HR, Quality, R&D, Finance, Engineering to optimize plant operations.
• Oversee training and development of production staff; ensure safety and standards.
• Initiate major projects like plant layout changes and capital equipment installs.
