Job summary

Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials with operations in Alpharetta, Georgia. The Production Manager will lead and manage all production areas at the Athens, GA site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in alignment with company goals and KPIs.

The role reports to the Plant Operations Manager and drives staffing plans, production schedules and continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams to maximize productivity and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, support and guidance to employees and ensures organizational goals are met.
• Lead, mentor, and train production staff to enhance skills and performance.
• Communicates status of area performance, projects and initiatives across the business.
• Achieves optimum team performance impacting safety, quality, delivery, cost and development.
• Reviews production variances, scrap and cycle count reports to drive improvements.
