Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Production Manager based in Athens, GA to lead all production areas, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in line with company standards. The role reports to the Plant Operations Manager and involves planning schedules, staffing and coordinating maintenance, quality and engineering services.

You will drive continuous improvement and KPI delivery across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or related field, strong leadership

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools for process improvement.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing (preferred).
• Good written and verbal communication skills (preferred).

Our Production Manager supportsMativ’sCoretecOperation. This individual willlead and manage the operations of all production areas to ensure that safety, quality, manufacturing standards and finances are achieved in accordance with Company expectations. The role will report to the Plant Operations Manager and will plan and establish work schedules, staffing requirements and production activities that ensure the maximum productivity and efficiency. The Production Manager facilitates maintenance, quality, and engineering services to meet business objectives. In this role, the manager facilitates and leads projects and continuous improvement to meet KPI initiatives. This position will the status of projects and initiatives and is accountable for results of the business deliverables that are within the scope of this role. This position is based inAthens, GA, and reports to the Plant Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

Assists the Plant Operations Leader in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives affecting their assigned area.

• Provides leadership, support and guidance to employees and ensures the goals and objectives of the organization are met.
• Lead, mentor, and train production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Communicates the status of the area performance, projects, and initiatives across the business.
• Achieves optimum team performance impacting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and development.
• Reviews production variances, scrap, and cycle count reports to assure accuracy and drive improvements.
• Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.
• Makes recommendations about the manufacturing plant and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
• Implements manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
• Oversees performance management for all production employees.
• Partners closely with other department leaders (Human Resources, Warehouse, Quality, R&D, Finance, Engineering, etc.) to drive effective plant operations.
• Initiates and coordinates major projects, (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
• Stays current on technology and leading manufacturing practices.
• Owns the results of their assigned area and drives change and improvements with the team.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree inManufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
