Job summary

Hentzen Coatings, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager for the Large Batch operations on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday). The role focuses on leading the department to meet productivity, safety, and quality objectives while controlling costs and supporting ISO standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, KPI monitoring, staff training, and performance reviews. This position is an on-site role in Milwaukee with growth opportunities in a private, experienced coatings company.

Qualifications

• Associate's or two-year college degree or equivalent.
• Three+ years of experience in production management preferred.
• Experience organizing and scheduling large batch operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and schedule the Large Batch Department activities based on sales requirements and plant capacity, including manpower.
• Monitor KPI metrics and drive cost control, safety, and quality initiatives.
• Train new operators and conduct regular training to ensure growth and safety compliance.
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards and participate in audits as required.
• Interview, hire, and terminate staff as needed; conduct semi-annual performance reviews.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Production Manager - Large Batch Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift Pay Range (based on experience and qualifications): $70,000 - $90,000 per year.

Position Summary The Production Manager - Large Batch is responsible for leading the manufacturing process of Large Batch towards meeting corporate objectives in such areas as productivity, employee health and safety, budgeting, cost containment, And Quality.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Organizes And schedules the Large Batch Department's activities based on sales requirements and plant capacity, including manpower.


• Works with the Production Manager and Director of Liquid Operations on cost control of repair and operating supplies, waste generation, labor costs and other areas that may be assigned.


• Monitor critical department Key Performance Indicators (KPI).


• Trains new operators on Large Batch operations.


• Conduct regular training for existing employees to ensure employee growth.


• Conduct training to comply with safety regulations.


• Champions safety and housekeeping initiatives and communicate them to all employees.


• Monitors quality of products produced to ensure adherence to company standards.


• Responsible for adherence to safety rules by all direct reports, promoting safe work practices, coaching and any necessary safety training required in addition to that provided by the corporate safety trainer.


• Also, is responsible for stopping and reporting any safety violations when observed throughout the facility.


• Utilize the Business Operating System to report operations completed, materials issued, and other related transactions.


• Interview, hire and terminate employees, as necessary.


• Conduct performance reviews on a semi-annual basis.


• Participate in quality system audits for compliance with ISO and quality standards.


• Perform other miscellaneous duties as Assigned.
