We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our fast-paced, multi-product cannabis manufacturing facility. This role oversees the production of edibles, beverages, vapes, and prerolls—ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant output.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, thrives in a dynamic environment, and brings a sharp eye for both immediate needs and long-term planning. You’ll collaborate across departments, including compliance, inventory, client success, and leadership, to meet production goals and uphold quality standards.

Production Management

• Create and manage weekly production schedules across multiple product lines.
• Forecast production 30/60/90 days out, aligning with sales projections and client needs.
• Monitor throughput, identify bottlenecks, and adjust plans to maintain output.
• Build contingencies for labor gaps, equipment issues, and material shortages.
• Communicate timeline changes to relevant teams to maintain alignment.
• Supervise supervisors and hourly production staff.
• Lead daily huddles, floor walk-throughs, and team check-ins.
• Build staff schedules based on production demand.
• Foster a safety-first, performance-driven culture.

Inventory Oversight

• Manage cannabis input, dry goods, ingredients, and packaging inventory.
• Ensure accurate tracking in inventory or seed-to-sale systems.
• Work with the client team to anticipate needs and prevent shortages.

Compliance & QA

• Ensure operations comply with Arizona cannabis regulations.
• Maintain batch records, labeling, and quality standards.
• Support internal/state audits and maintain documentation.

Cross-Team Coordination

• Align with client success, sales, and fulfillment teams to meet deadlines and specs.
• Attend planning meetings to ensure smooth production flow across departments.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, food production, or cannabis (cannabis preferred)
• Proven leadership in fast-paced environments
• Strong scheduling and project management skills
• Familiar with inventory tracking and seed-to-sale systems (METRC a plus)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in Google Workspace and production tools
• Calm under pressure with a problem-solving mindset
