  • Lead and mentor Production Technicians in partnership with the Lead Production Technician, ensuring proper allocation of workforce, cross‑training, skill development, and adherence to safety and standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with the Production Planner to balance work‑in‑progress (WIP), manage capacity constraints, resolve material shortages, and adjust schedules based on customer demand and supply shifts.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kanban, Kaizen, flow optimization) across production and material movement functions to eliminate waste, improve cycle times, and optimize floor layout.
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to investigate shop‑floor non‑conformances, enforce standard assembly practices, and support root‑cause corrective action efforts.
  • Manage labor allocation, operational budgets, overtime, and tool/equipment maintenance to ensure targets are hit within designated cost parameters.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs)—such as On‑Time Delivery (OTD), Schedule Adherence, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Inventory Accuracy—reporting findings and action plans to the Production Operations Manager.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to streamline New Product Introductions (NPI), engineering changes (ECOs), and inventory flow into production.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven track record of managing both shop‑floor technical personnel and materials/supply chain functions.
