Job summary

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company is seeking a Machine Operator at one of our production plants. The role involves mechanically combining raw materials, calibrating machines, and maintaining quality throughout shifts.

You will operate a computer controlled production system, perform daily checks, keep detailed records, and ensure safe, efficient production. Overtime and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1+ year production plant experience preferred.
• Able to read English and follow directions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willing to work mandatory overtime including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer controlled production system.
• Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the assigned area.
• Complete daily job checklists and equipment checks/calibrations.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, samples and operations.
• Operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Perform safety audits on equipment.
