Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Machine Operator to join our mulch and soil manufacturing facility. This hourly role supports the production line by operating a computer controlled system, performing quality checks, and keeping accurate records. The position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a dusty environment.

Starting pay is $22.95 per hour, paid weekly, with overtime potential. You’ll join a team that emphasizes safety, efficiency and continuous improvement while following

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1+ years of production plant experience preferred.
• Ability to read English and follow directions.
• Able to work in dusty environment and lift 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer controlled production system for multiple raw material ingredients.
• Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in assigned area.
• Complete daily job checklists & equipment checks/calibrations.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, samples & equipment operations.
• Operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Set up machines at shift start and calibrate accordingly.
• Perform testing procedures to ensure machines work optimally.
