Job summary

Pratt Industries, Henderson, KY is seeking a Production Machine Operator to run and optimize production machines, perform setup and cleanup, and contribute to continuous improvement in operations.

Responsibilities include operating at full capacity, training helpers, cross-training on other machines, generating production and safety reports, and maintaining housekeeping. Overtime may be required as needed, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• 6 months’ experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines to maximize capacity and speed.
• Train and assist First and Second Helpers with machine duties.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete reports such as Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs and assist in proactive equipment maintenance.
• Switch duties with First Helper as needed to meet schedule.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality and service goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
